It’s been a long while since I’ve posted here. Adelynn is almost 5 and we’re trying to figure out where she’ll be going to Kindergarten next year or if she’ll need to be in preschool again. I love having her overnights in my new house in Fort Wayne. It’s really been helpful for my mental health since it’s hard to only see her for a few hours at a time during the regular part of the week. She’s incredibly active and hopefully we can get her in gymnastics early next year because she can’t stop tumbling, climbing and swinging on things. It’s draining having her for a full day but obviously worth every minute I get to see her.

In other news, I’m excited because so many new things are in the works. Starting in the new year, I’ll be creating a new podcast with my friend Andy about our new high school elective this year (see Passions/Projects for the website for our class). The class has been very rewarding and I feel very lucky to have Andy as a co-teacher. He helps me stay grounded and does an excellent job providing students detailed feedback. In summary, I’m really glad I got to back to DeKalb. It’s definitely where I belong.

Also, another teacher friend Tony and I are working on developing a new board game revolving around exoplanet discovery. I’m extremely excited about where this is going. It’s going to take a lot of work to get off the ground, but I think it will all definitely be worth it in the end.

Thank you for reading and I hope everyone has a great 2019.
